The confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria reached 577, the task force said in the daily update on April 7.
12 more cases werereported during the day, 7 of which are in sofia, 3 in Stara Zagora, 1 in Plovdiv and 1 in Kardzhali.
213 people diagnosed with Covid-19 have been hospitalised. 21 of them are in intensive care.
Out of all cases, 325 are men and 252 are women. The average age of the registered cases is 48 years.
The total number of medical staff who tested positive for the virus is 31.
23 people have died. A 36 year old man diagnosed with Covid-19 died today in St. Anna hospital in Sofia. The patient was admitted to hospital on March 30 because of a lung condition. He was put on ventilator at a later stage after deterioration. The man had lung fibrosis and tracheostomy as a result of a car accident in the past.
