Coronavirus in Bulgaria: 720 new cases

The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 720 from 8,565 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on May 4.

Test positivity rate is 8,4%

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 1,157,919.

The active cases are 137,558.

Of the total, 803 patients are in hospitals, 75 of them being in intensive care.

During the past 24 hours:

· 4,881 recoveries;

· 894 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines;

· 27 Covid-19 related deaths.

Of the daily cases, 66.94% had not been vaccinated.

Of those who died, 92.59% had not been vaccinated.

There were 148 new hospitalisations, of which 73.65% had not been vaccinated.
