Seventy nine new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 2776 tests, the national information system said.
The latest cases were registered in the following disctricts: Blagoevgrad – 1; Bourgas – 4; Varna – 2; Veliko Turnovo – 1; Vratsa – 1; Kyustendil – 1; Pazardzhik – 3; Pernik – 1; Plovdiv – 1; Razgrad – 2; Sliven – 6; Sofia district – 13; Sofia city 32; Stara Zagora – 5; Targovishte – 1; Yambol – 5.
The total number of coronavirus cases in the country to date is 3984. The active cases are 1606.
The recoveries are 2171, including 97 in the past 24 hours.
Of the total, 341 patients are in hospitals, 11 of them in intensive care.
364 medical workers tested positive for coronavirus to date.
Eight patients diagnosed with Covid-19 died over the past 24 hours, thus bringing the total number of fatalities to 207.
The latest fatalities include a 73 year old woman with pneumonia and heart disease; a 71 year old man with pneumonia and a number of underlying ilnesses; a 76 year old wman with diabetes; a 78 year old man with heart and lung diseases; a 65 year old with diabetes, heart and kidney diseases; a 57 year old woman with diabetes and heart diases; a 61 year old man with pneumonia and chronic lung lung disease, a 67 year old woman with pneumonia with no underlying health conditions.
