Eight new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours from 1725 PCR tests, the chef health inspector, doctor Angel Kounchev said at a briefing on May 29.
The total number in the country is now 2485.
51 more people recovered thus bringing the total recoveries to 1015, i.e. 41% of all registered cases.
Two people died over the past 24 hours: a man and a woman at the age of 91. Total number of fatalities rose to 136.
Kounchev said that the requirement for 14 day obligatory quarantine will remain in place for people arriving from 8 countries: Sweden, the UK, Belgium, Ireland, Portugal, Spain, Italy and Malta, because they have large number of coronavirus cases.
He said that the Balkans see Covid-19 cases decrease.
