The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 94 from 11,151 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on June 23.
The daily percentage of positive tests is at 0.8%.
36 were confirmed from PCR and 58 from rapid antigen tests.
The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 421,246.
The active cases are 9,602.
Of the total, 1,650 patients are in hospitals, 196 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 450 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 393,636
· 12,733 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 1,681,399
· 8 Covid-19 related deaths, thus bringing the death toll to date to 18,008.
The licensed laboratories in the country that perform PCR tests will be required to send at least 10% of the COVID-19 positive samples to the National Centre for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases.
Sequencing of 10% of the positive COVID-19 samples will be performed each week.
The information will be collected in the new database, which is being developed and within a month should show the actual number of Bulgarians who had the virus.
