The newly confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria over the past 24 hours are 6,252 from 42,828 tests, the daily report on the National Information Portal shows on January 5. 2022.
Test positivity rate is 14.6%.

The total lab-confirmed positive cases in the country since the start of the epidemic are 757,710
The active cases are 111,467.
Of the total, 4,477 patients are in hospitals, 468 of them being in intensive care.
During the past 24 hours:
· 1,340 recoveries, bringing the total to date to 615,006
· 24,947 administered doses of Covid-19 vaccines, bringing the total to date to 3,736,566.
· 157 Covid-19 related deaths, thus the death toll to date is 31,237.
Of the daily cases, 73.34% had not been vaccinated.
Of those who died, 90.45% had not been vaccinated.
There were 887 new hospitalisations, of which 82.75% had not been vaccinated.
*Those considered to be vaccinated had completed the course of vaccination.
