Twenty six new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours, since 08:00 am on May 10, thus bringing the total to 1981, the secretary of the national task force, Associate professor Dimo Dimov said at the morning briefing on May 11.
The results are from 403 tests. The total number of tests conducted in the country so far are 57 234 since the start of the epidemic.
The latest cases registered in Sofia are 16. Pleven and Razgrad each reported 3 new cases, Blagoevgrad – 2, Vidin and Pazardzhik- 1 in each city.
There are 5 new cases of children who tested positive for the virus. Their age is between 6 and 17 years. Sofia reported 3 new cases of children, Blagoevgrad – 1 and Razgrad -1.
Five new cases of medical professionals were registered in the past 24 hours.
A total of 461 people have recovered, including the most recent 17.
One person diagnosed with Covid-19 died. He was 72, lived in Silistra, but is from the UK. He was married to a Bulgarian. The man had many underlying health conditions.
Currently, 385 people with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 58 of them in intensive care.

The total cases in the world is 4 180 000. The increase is by approximately 80 000 for the past 24 hours.
