Thirty one new cases of coronavirus were confirmed in Bulgaria in the past 24 hours from 1611 tests conducted. Twenty were hospitalised, the national task force against the coronavirus said at the daily morning briefing on May 14.
The total number of cases is now 2100 people.
The increase is 1.5% compared to yesterday.
The active cases are 1481.
Twelve of the latest cases are in Sofia, 6 in Yambol, 4 in Pleven, 3 in Sliven, 2 in Plovdiv, 1 in Gabrovo, 1 in Kysutendil, 1 in Pazardzhik, 1 in Montana.
A 10 year old child from Sliven tested positive for the virus.
The medical professionals infected with the virus are 228. There are 3 new cases: 1 doctor in Pazardzhik, 1 nurse and 1 health care assistant.
521 people diagnosed with Covid-19 have recovered, which is 25% of the total cases.
Three more deaths were reported for the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 99. The latest fatalities include a 79 year old man from the nursing home in Kula. He died in hospital in Montana. A 75 year old woman with Covid-19 pneumonia died in St. Anna hospital in Sofia. A 87 year old man with underlying health conditions died in Pirogov hospital in Sofia.
Of the total, 365 persons are in hospitals, 51 in intensive care.
