The total cases of coronavirus confirmed in Bulgaria now stands at 1990 after 9 more cases were reported during the day, the 5:00 pm update of the national task force said on May 11.
368 persons diagnosed with Covid-19 are in hospitals, 50 of them are in intensive care.
The medical staff infected with the virus are now 214.
The total cases include 966 men and 1024 women. The average age of the Covid-19 patients is 50.
A total of 93 people with Covid-19 have died. A 78 year old man from an old people’s home in Kula died in St. Anna hospital in Sofia. The man had dementia and high blood pressure as underlying health conditions. A 53 year old man died in hospital in Yambol. He had bilateral pneumonia.
The Ministry of Health expresses condolences to the families and friends of the deceased.
