Coronavirus in Bulgaria: Total confirmed cases rises to 747

The total coronavirus cases confirmed in Bulgaria reached 747, the national task force said in the 5 pm daily update on April 15.

218 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals, 31 are in intensive care. Twelve more cases were registered during the day, including 3 in Sofia, 7 in Smolyan, 1 in Kyustendil and 1 in Bourgas. The number of medical specialists who tested positive for the virus is now 39.

Out of the total cases, 413 are men and 334 are women.

The cases in the districts affected by the coronavirus across the country are as follows: Blagoevgrad – 19; Bourgas – 27; Varna - 24; Veliko Turnovo – 9; Vidin – 2; Vratsa – 2; Gabrovo – 2; Dobrich – 12; Kardzhali – 12; Kyustendil – 19; Lovech – 2; Montana – 18; Pazardzhik – 15; Pernik – 8; Pleven – 9; Plovdiv – 36; Rousse - 5; Silistra - 2; Sliven – 13; Smolyan – 26; Sofia – 447; Stara Zagora – 24; Haskovo – 9; Shumen – 4; Yambol – 1.

The deaths from Covid-19 are 36. The average age of the people who died is 63.8 years.
