As of March 31, the 14 day quarantine in Bankso ski resort will be cancelled, an order issued on March 30 by Bulgaria’s Minister of Health, Kiril Anaiev says.
The ban on entering and going out of the town will also be cancelled.
However, the anti-epidemic measures in place for the whole country will continue to apply for Bansko.
The Bulgarian mountain resort of Bansko was placed under strict quarantine on March 17 after a 9 year old child from the UK on a ski holiday in the resort tested positive for coronavirus. After that another British tourist tested positive, followed by 3 more cases of local people working in the tourist industry.
