Bulgaria’s Prime Minister, some members of his team and journalists covering the PM’s visit to Rila monastery will be fined 300 BGN each for not wearing protective face masks in indoor public spaces, Bulgaria’s Minister of Health said on June 23.
Borissov went inside the church to light a candle during his visit to Rila monastery, for which the cabinet had provided about 2 million BGN for restorations and new water purification station. He also inspected the landslide repair works on the collapsed section of the road to the monastery.
The health ministry said that the PM, some of his team, journalists, camera operators, photographers and other people who were inside the church will be handed penalty notices for administrative violation because they did not comply with the Covid-19 anti-epidemic measures and more specifically for violating the Order issued by the Health Minister according to which as of today. wearing of protective face mask or other material covering the nose and mouth is compulsory in indoor public spaces.
