On Day 62 (September 8) of the anti-government protest, the lifting of tents became a reason for discontent.

The situation in the "Triangle of Power" was calm. At around 8 pm, the protesters blocked traffic in the area and peacefully defended their demands.

From the rostrum, the protest organisers said that the big protest scheduled for Thursday (September 10) would be completely peaceful.

As on previous nights, the protesters walked the route of the procession to Eagles’ Bridge.

Today, the protest organisers from the Poisonous Trio addressed embassies, including the Representation of the European Commission in Bulgaria, saying that daily protests in the country have been ongoing for more than two months and were against violating basic civil rights, corruption and trampling on democracy.

According to the Poisonous Trio, tensions in the first week of September threaten civil peace in Bulgaria and emphasized that the commitments to effectively comply with the Copenhagen criteria are part of Bulgaria's obligations under its EU membership, namely:

- rule of law;

- market economy;

- stable democracy.

Those criteria according to the Poisonous Trio, are practically not applied in the country.

The main organisers of the protest declare that they will continue to protest peacefully until the goals of the protest are achieved.

Today, protesters gathered in front of the building of the Second Police Station to receive the items from the tents that were lifted by the police on the night of the national protest on September 2. It turned out that in order to receive them, protesrshad to show a document or receipt of ownership.

The protesters were told that they could get their belongings from the fire station, which is located on Rozhen Blvd., but for that purpose there had to be police officers with them.

For another day in a row, anti-government protests took place in the cities of Varna and Rousse.

In Varna, protesters gathered in the square next to the building of the municipality. They commented the events in the country and expressed their demands: resignation of the government and the Chief Prosecutor, Ivan Geshev; early elections and machine voting.

In Rousse, protesters gathered outside the Court palace. They collected signatures for a petition calling for the resignation of the government and the Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev.
