On the 67th night of protests in Sofia (September 13), the main demands of the protesters remain unchanged - immediate resignation of the government, Chief Prosecutor, Ivan Geshev, introduction of machine voting at elections, a change in the judicial system.
As on previous nights, the protesters went on the procession from the Triangle of Power to Eagles’ Bridge, where they blocked the traffic.
As usual, the starting point of the protest was Independence Square at 19:00. Traffic in the BNB area was closed.
The organisers from the "Poisonous Trio" gave a press conference to the media this evening. They stated that they would not negotiate with Prime Minister Borissov and would definitely not back down from their demands.
The "poisonous trio" wanted to hear the Prime Minister's assessment of Chief Prosecutor Ivan Geshev and to answer the question why he is the only Chief Prosecutor who uses the Boyana residence (government residential complex).
The trio announced that they were preparing for the Third Grand People's Uprising on September 22.
Arman Babikyan, protest organiser from "The Poisonous Trio": There will be no negotiations with Boyko Borissov. He is being asked to resign and then parliamentary elections to be scheduled. We believe that this is the legitimate way to resolve the crisis in Bulgaria. Then there will be not negotiations, but talks with the Bulgarian people.
