19 people were arrested during a special operation of the specialised Prosecutor's Office and the General Directorate for Combating Organised Crime (GDBOP) in Bourgas on 2nd of August. The alleged leader of the criminal group Dimitar Zhelyazkov – Mityo Ochite was not arrested, because he left the country and has been circulated internationally as wanted.

Ivan Geshev - Deputy Prosecutor General: The case will be very interesting because there are many intriguing evidences. This is a large organised criminal activity, I think. There will be charges, if not already raised, for arson. There are several individuals who will be sued for arson of different objects - real estates mainly, including cars.
Prosecutor Geshev did not report the names of the detainees and details of the operation in order not to prejudice the investigation. The gang acted mainly on the South Black Sea coast, but it also had connections with people from the underground world in other parts of the country. We recall that the underground boss Dimitar Zhelyazkov spent four years in prison after charges of money laundering.
