Eggs from the General Toshevo poultry farm, where avian influenza was identified on 5th of March, have been withdrawn from the retail network in the city of Varna and the area.
Batches of contaminated eggs have been delivered, but there is no room for panic, the District Directorate on Food Safety said on 9th of March. After heat treatment, the virus gets destroyed. It is not clear how many eggs they have reached the shelves of the shops.
