Bulgaria’s Central Election Commission (CEC) on July 7 decided to lift the immunity of the candidate MP, Tsvetelin Georgiev, from “Rise Up! Thugs Out!” electoral coalition. The decision is published on the CEC’s website.
Earlier today, Chief Prosecutor, Ivan Geshev, sought to lift the immunity of the candidate MP because of suspected involvement in vote buying in a village in Bourgas district.
The coalition earlier said that they had withdrawn him from its Bourgas candidate list.
