Speaking at a briefing in Bulgaria’s coastal city of Bourgas on 13th of August, Bulgaria’s Deputy Prime Minister Valeri Simeonov said that the entertainment venue Cacao Beach at Sunny Beach resort and Hedon beach bar in Sozopol bar have been closed, because an inspection on the 5th of August identified excessive noise levels in the outdoor areas of the venues after 11 pm.
The two places of entertainment venues however told BNT today they were working. At the same time, the police in Bourgas said that Cacao Beach was shut.
Warning notices were issued, but two days later the inspectors found violations again and an order for their closure was issued. Since the beginning of the summer tourist season, the District Health Inspection has carried out numerous inspections of compliance with the regulations and the law on noise and the prohibition to play loud music in the outdoor areas of entertainment venues after 23:00. 84 orders and prescriptions were issued at discos and establishments where excessive levels of noise and music were identified, Simeonov added.
