A large team of experts, geologists, engineers and representatives of various institutions on 14th of March began a study into the condition of the ground in the area affected by the landslide which led to closing the Smolyan-Madan road to traffic.
The task is to evaluate the current landslide processes and to identify measures to address the issue. Experts will also suggest possible solutions for the opening of the road to traffic. The experts’ conclusion should be ready on March 19th.
