Mineral water from a hot spring in the Southern Bulgarian town of Asсenovgrad has proved to have healing properties. According to balneological assessment of experts from the Ministry of Health, the water is similar in composition to that of Hissar and Pavel Banya. Three fountains and the swimming pool on the municipal beach are supplied with the healing water.
For years, people talk about health benefits of the hot spring in Asenobvgrad. Two weeks ago this was officially confirmed. The analyses have shown that it has healing influence on a number of joint diseases, diseases of the musculoskeletal system, peripheral nervous system and skin diseases. Drinking it has beneficial effects on gastrointestinal and gall bladder diseases, as well as in kidney problems, the doctor of the municipal swimming pool, Dr Snezhana Angelova, said.
Mineral water from hot spring 1 also runs in the fountains of the market, the one next the mosque, and the yard of the fire fighting service, from where many people fill bottles to take home.
In order to promote the already proven healing properties of the mineral water in Assenovgrad, the Municipality plans will place information signs on the sites supplied by hot spring 1.
