Fatal accident temporarily closes traffic on Trakia motorway

The traffic on a section of Trakia motorway to Sofia is temporarily suspended because of a serious road accident in the region of Rakovski, the press center of the Ministry of Interior announced on 2nd of July. The roundabout route is Trakia motorway, Shishmantsi, Rakovski, Kalekovets and again Trakia highway.

The alert for the accident was filed today at 16.25.

According to initial data, two passenger cars and a TIR lorry crashed. They were travelling to Sofia.

According to the information so far, two people died in the crash and one was injured. He was taken to the nearest hospital. Police and emergency teams are on the scene of the accident.

Trafic in direction to Sofia is temporarily stopped.
