Five new cases of coronavirus were reported in Bulgaria in the morning on March 20 thus bringing the total number to 112. Meanwhile, doctors from Sofia demanded full quarantine in the city. For the time being, the national coronavirus task force says that the measures are firm enough, but more discipline and responsibility is required.

The more serious measures requested by the Sofia Medical Commission appealed to the task force, but they think it is not the time for such measures yet, unlike in Bansko ski resort, where the need for quarantine was necessary. A ban on leaving homes and restricting entry and exit from the city is still not being considered for Sofia, but it is possible to be introduced if the number of infected people increases more sharply.

Prof. Mutafchiyski again called on at-risk groups to follow the measures and not to go out. We remind that every elderly person Bulgarian without relatives can take advantage of the services of "Social patronage" and not leave their homes. Regarding chloroquine phosphate, suggested as a possible drug in the fight against coronavirus, the head of the task force commented that the drug was not authorized for Bulgaria, but is already in contact with distributors.
