Speaking in Brussels on December3, Bulgaria’s Foreign Minister, Georg Georgiev, said that early parliamentary elections should be considered only as a final option.
He stressed that it was not appropriate for GERB to carry the responsibility for the governing coalition alone.
“Political stability is crucial to our role as a regional actor, as we discussed with colleagues here. Our economic and financial stability affects every Bulgarian citizen. With the forthcoming introduction of the euro, we must dispel all fears related to uncontrolled price rises, speculation and any threat to the interests of Bulgarians,” Georgiev said.
