Seventy people at the Bulgarian Socialist Party Sofia council headquarters were tested on June 22 for coronavirus, four of them have tested positive, BSP press office said on June 23.

The tests were carried out after national council member and former MP Yanaki Stoilov tested positive. He had attended a plenum of the BSP on Saturday and a meeting of the Sofia city council of the party.

Those who have tested positive are BSP MP Nikolai Tsonkov and municipal councillor Nikolai Nikolov. All four are in good general health condition, showing no symptoms of the illness. They are awaiting instructions from the Sofia regional health inspectorate.

Milka Hristova, the deputy chairperson of the Sofia city council and a longtime BSP councillor, had tested positive for Covid-19 on June 22.

Around 200 students, employees and lecturers from Sofia University have been tested for Covid-19 because they were in contact with Yanaki Stoilov. The results are still awaited. All rooms in the faculty of law have been disinfected.
