The government voted to approve Easter supplements for pensioners with size of the pensions up to the poverty line, Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on 28th of March at the regular weekly meeting of the cabinet.
Easter supplements amount to 40 BGN. A total of 1,227,000 pensioners in the country will receive the bonus. It will be paid to people, whose pension is up to BGN 321, which is the officially defined poverty threshold for Bulgaria in 2018.
