An open procedure for the purchase and maintenance of 42 new trains for the needs of "BDZ-Passenger Transport" Ltd. was launched, BDZ said on 20th of August.
The time limit for receipt of tenders is by 4:45 pm on 12.10.2018. Their opening will take place on 15.10.2018 at 13:00 in the administrative building of the company at 3 Ivan Vazov Street in Sofia .
The scope of the contract includes two main activities:
Supply of 42 new trains according to the requirements specified in the technical specification.
Provide full technical support for the delivered 42 pieces of modular trains for up to 15 years, including capital / repair / s, but no more than 2,800,000 km of train running.
The estimated value of the procurement is BGN 675 million, excluding VAT.
