Mountain tourism in combination with horse riding becomes more and more popular choice for rest and recreation in Bulgaria. In the village of Bachevo, Razlog region, there are two large horse bases and several smaller farms. During the summer months, they are full of tourists from the country and abroad, who want to relax with horse riding in the Rila and Pirin Mountains.

Marty and Liad come from Israel with their two children. They are on a weeklong vacation in Bansko and are aware for the horse tourism in Bulgaria.
Marty and Liad Opepeli: "The horses are great animals and we love to walk with them. A great way to enjoy nature while riding".
The owners of horse bases in the region of Razlog attract tourists also with archery, fishing, fun games for children and rides in Rila and Pirin mountains.
Ivan Nakov, owner of a horse base: “We do hourly riding. From half an hour to six days. Those who are more advanced take advantage of horses. We visit nature landmarks, architectural reserves. We try every trip to enrich the tourists with something new from our region”.
The observations of horse-base owners show that in the recent years more and more Bulgarians have been able to afford a mountain holiday combined with horse riding tourism and other leisure activities for the whole family.
