The 15th edition of the International Folk Festival “Peace in the Balkans” began in the South-Western Bulgarian town of Dupnitsa on 27th of May.
The official opening took place in “Svoboda” (freedom) square. The anthem of Europe and the anthem of Bulgaria were performed at the opening ceremony. The participants released balloons in the colours of the flags and sent their message for peace.
The event brings together dancers from 7 countries, including Bulgaria, Macedonia, Serbia, Georgia, Poland, Ukraine and India.
The Folk festival will run until 29th of May.
The concerts will start every day at 19.00 at “Svoboda” square in Dupnitsa.
