Traffic on Shipka pass was disrupted on 22nd of June due to landslides triggered by the recent torrential rains and hailstorm. A team of the road maintenance company and the Road Infrastructure Agency are working on the site to clear the road.
The landlside has been propped up to prevent further penetration of water and failure of the road.
Currently, there is no risk of closing the traffic through Shipka pass. It is diverted to one lane and will be fully restored in the autumn.
Traffic police and RIA advise motorists to drive with caution through the mountain pass.
