It became clear on April 15 that the two neighbourhoods "Fakulteta” and "Filipovtsi" in Sofia are emerging as outbreaks of coronavirus infection.
Checkpoints were established on the routes into and out of the neighbourhoods. From midnight today until further notice, entry into and exit from their territory is prohibited, except in the case of medical assistance or with a note from an employer.
Gathering of more than two people on the streets is forbidden, as well as family gatherings and parties.
Mass testing of people in both areas began today. Out of 60 quick tests, 7 were positive. Their samples are yet to be confirmed by PCR tests. The contact persons are over 150 people.
According to the Regional Health Inspectorate, six people have died, there are 12 people in hospitals, two in serious condition and 10 in mild condition.

The total coronavirus cases confirmed in Bulgaria reached 747, the national task force said in the 5 pm daily update on April 15.
218 Covid-19 patients are in hospitals, 31 are in intensive care. Twelve more cases were registered during the day, including 3 in Sofia, 7 in Smolyan, 1 in Kyustendil and 1 in Bourgas. The number of medical specialists who tested positive for the virus is now 39.
Out of the total cases, 413 are men and 334 are women.
Today, it has also become clear that two of the drivers in Sofia public transport are infected with the coronavirus. At this stage, they are in good overall condition and are staying at home.
