Members of the European Parliament from GERB / EPP Emil Radev and Andrey Novakov are launching a campaign against the poor quality of fuel offered on the Bulgarian market. They announced the beginning of their initiative at a briefing in the National Assembly, where they demonstrated the obvious differences between two tanks of diesel fuel, one bought from Bulgaria and the other from neighboring Greece.

“Many people complain about the low quality of fuel. They have problems with their cars such as higher consumption, lack of power and freezing in the winter season. Having that in mind and as a continuation of our fight against double standards in the EU, we have launched a pilot project for a new European program with worth of € 3 million to overcome this issue. A program that will allow reviews of all legislation to be made, monitoring of the whole transportation process from a tanker to a petrol station, "explained Emil Radev. He called for urgent measures to be taken that will introduce a single fuel standard in the EU, and the European Commission to work for its compliance.
All results from the revisions will be published publically, so that all users can be informed, assured Novakov.
