Bulgaria’s Minister of Environment and Water, Ivelina Vassileva, inspected the water purifying station at the Black Sea resort village of Lozenets on 12th of August. The facility was built urgently because, in the summer of 2015, the gulf was contaminated by waste waters.
The construction cost 746 million BGN and the idea is to become part of the extension of the water purifying station, which has the capacity to treat the waste waters of a population of 40,000 people.
The minister said that the samples taken for examination by the regional health inspection showed no contamination and the sea water in the bathing areas was clean.
Tourists have said that the river, which flows into the sea is clean and there are no contaminations on the beach and the sea.
