Checks on lorries and buses will be carried out in the country this week from 23 to 29 July. The operation takes place in all countries members of the European Traffic Police Service - TISPOL.

Representatives of the Criminal and Economic Police, as well as representatives of the Automobile Administration Executive Agency at the Ministry of Transport, Information Technology and Communications, also will participate in the operation.
The "wide range control" method will be used during the inspections, which will exrcise strict control for a valid compulsory Third Party Liability insurancecarried out, as well as for vignette stickers for the use of the republican roads.
The main causes of the incidents involving cargos and buses are drivers' failure to comply with the time for rest, speeding, use of alcohol and drugs, transportation of unsafe cargo as well as overloaded vehicles, the findings of previous similar operations show.
