Murder in Blagoevgrad, exits and entrances of the city are blocked by the police

A 58-year-old woman was killed in Blagoevgrad in the early hours on 27^th of July. The crime was reported shortly after 1 o'clock in the morning. The body of the murdered woman was found near the front door of a block of flats in “Strumsko” district. The woman died from a gunshot wound. Currently there is a police operation in the village of Barakovo for the arrest of a suspect for the crime.

The murdered woman is an owner of a famous fast-food restaurant in the city. She was going home late that night. The murderer was waiting for her at the entrance of the block, she lived in.

The victim was killed with a firearm from the front. According to the prosecutor's office, the murderer knew the victim.

Neighbours of the murdered woman said they haven’t heard any shots. The police began searching for a 40-year-old criminal who might have a connection with the murder. He was in close contact with the victim’s daughter.

A few days ago, the daughter reported to the police that her car has been illegally taken away, and she has suffered bodily injuries herself. Today, on 27^th of July, the 58-year-old murdered woman had to be questioned in front of a judge to testify on this case.

The murder area was cordoned off by the police this morning. There are police patrols at all entrances and exits of Blagoevgrad. Investigation is on-going.
