From today, 1st of August, the bank charges are changing. The Bulgarian National Bank sets a ceiling on commissions that are charged for cashing at an ATM, opening an account or paying with a debit card. The charge to open a current account will be lower. It will cost a maximum of 1.79 BGN, which is over 10% cheaper. However, the service will increase and will cost 2.27 BGN per month.
