Monthly inflation for January 2024 is 0.5% and annual inflation is 3.8%, according to preliminary data from the National Statistical Institute released on February 15.
In January 2024, compared to the previous month, the highest increase was registered for Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels (+2.2%), Food and non-alcoholic beverages (+1.0%), Education (+0.8%) and Health (+0.6%).
The decrease was recorded in the prices for Clothing and footwear (-3.5%) and Transport (-1.7%).
The average annual inflation for the period February 2023 - January 2024 compared to the period February 2022 - January 2023 is 8.4%.
