Sixty-two films take part in the third edition of “Cinema in Palm” festival of films shot with mobile devices which will be held in Shumen, North Bulgaria. The best films will be awarded on February 10 at 17.00 in the culture centre "Dobri Voynikov" in the city.
The festival is organised by the culture centre, under the patronage of the Ministry of Culture, with the assistance of the Municipality of Shumen, the Union of People's Culture Centres, “Krastyo Sarafov” National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts and the Shumen University "Episkop Konstantin Preslavski".
The first ever festival on mobile film-making in Bulgaria aims to promote independent filmmaking with the help of modern mobile technologies and is aimed at young creators.
The festival jury includes Alexander Donev, Prof. Valeri Chakalov, Assoc. Prof. Yuri Dachev, Yavor Popov and Anton Mitov.
The Grand Prix of the festival is provided by the mayor of Shumen Lyubomir Hristov. Prizes will be also presented by Shumen University, "Krastyo Sarafov" National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts, a Bulgarian company and a prize of the Union of People's cultural community centres.
