On 6th of July, Bulgaria’s Parliament adopted amendments to the Disability Integration Act, which prevent the suspension of integration benefits.
The correction was made after the Supreme Administrative Court overturned the unification of the amount of benefits.
All people with disabilities are entitled to such benefits, each receiving a different number of benefits, which are allocated according to the needs of the person with disabilities.
The amendments reduce the risk of dropping out of people with permanent disabilities receiving monthly social integration benefits for transport, information and telecommunication services.
