Part of the beach at St. Konstantin and Elena resort near the city of Varna got swallowed by the sea during the night, holidays makers told BNT on 2nd of August.
This however is a temporary phenomenon, typical for the beginning of August.
The chief beach life guard Sergei Arnaudov explained to tourists that the northern wind forms currents and becayse of them the sea enters inland. The process may take several days to a week. When the southern wind appears, the beach will recover, Arnaudov said.
