More than 1,200,000 pensioners in Bulgaria will receive a bonus of 40 BGN (20 euro) each for the Easter holidays. The bonus will be paid to people, whose pension is up to 363 BGN, which is the officially defined poverty line for the country in 2019.
Due to the introduced state of emergency aimed at limiting the spread of the novel coronavirus, as of today, April 7 until April 16, every day by 12.00, the post offices in the country will work with clients aged 60 or over.
Pensioners who did not receive their pensions within that time-limit, a second time window will be opened for them from April 21 to April 23.
The senior citizens are required to comply with the safety rules in the post offices, to stand at a distance from each other and wear protective masks and gloves.
