Prime Minister Boyko Borissov on 20th of June accepted the resignation of Rositsa Dimitrova, Deputy Minister of Labour and Social Policy. She resigned over the scandal with her air plane ticket to New York, which costed 8,300 BGN.
Dimitrova's motive is "the social sensitivity that has emerged after her participation in the 11th session of the Conference on the Convention on the Rights of People with Disabilities held in New York on June 12-14". At the same time in Sofia a scandal about the submission and withdrawal of the resignation of the Ministr of Labour and Social Policy, Bisser Petkov, because of the ongoing protests of mothers of disabled children.
Yesterday, Dimitrova admitted she was wrong for traveling with such an expensive business class ticket, bought at the last moment, even though the invitation for the forum came in March.
