The police woman, who was injured by a firework at the football match "Levski" - CSKA last night (18th of April) in Sofia, remains under medical supervision.
She was injured in the face by the blast and was immediately taken to hospital. The medical team reported that the woman had serious injuries, but they were not life threatening.
Her eye was seriously damaged. She underwent a serious operation. The doctors said the surgery was long and difficult but they successfully restored the integrity of the eye and added that interocular lens will be possible to be implanted.
She has worked in the police for six months. Ministty of Interior officials are demanding stricter measures against people showing aggression and disrespectful behaviour against law enforcement officers.
