"I can't interpret everything Borissov said, my imagination has a limit. Yes, I have a drone, but I have nothing to do with what Mr.Borissov is saying. I have flown planes, I have flown a drone," President Rumen Radev announced in Pernik on June 18.

He said the Prime Minister's problem was not a drone.

"It's a kind of paranoia. It's an absolute departure from the main question, and the question is whether the photos and the audio recording have been fabricated."

This is how President Radev responded to Borissov's criticism that the opposition and the head of state were waging a compromising war against GERB party, with even the President allowing himself to fly a drone and take pictures of him.

Yesterday at the GERB headquarters, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov was categoric: "This drone comes within a metre from me, it could be carrying an explosive. And when I tell the guards that I will take down this drone, he puts it away ".

"My drone is so good that it can go into a bedroom, make recordings, open drawers and stuff them with euros," said President Radev ironically.

According to him, it is extremely inappropriate to put stains on the National Service for Protection.

"The people who work there do not deserve this, they have high ethical standards and the teams that guard the government are there to protect them, not to discredit them," Radev said.

The President stressed that the National Protection Service personnel operate outside the building, and if the host invites guests into the premises, the host assumes full responsibility for these guests.

"It would not be bad if the prime minister uses better judgment about the guests he invites in his home," Radev advised.

According to him, no one can discredit the government except the government itself.

"The biggest threat to Mr Borissov is he himself," he said.

The President said that it not up to him to decide about elections.

"This is determined by the government itself, if it decides that it can no longer govern, or the Bulgarian parliament, or the Bulgarian citizens, if they decide that they do not want this government," Radev explained, adding: "I have never expressed a desire for an interim cabinet, he said.

According to him, the most important thing at the moment is to restore public trust.

"The prosecutor's office is the one that has to establish the truth, independent expert assessment of the photographs and the audio recording, etc. The briefing yesterday was an attempt to seek geopolitical indulgence for the scandal outside, and this scandal inside to turn into some fun, some farce ", the head of state said..

He also added that as soon as he was shown the photos from the Prime Minister's bedroom, he contacted the National Service for Protection and sent a team to Borissov to discuss the case.

"The most worrying photo is the one of the Prime Minister sleeping. Such an invasion of privacy is unacceptable. This photo means a risk to the life of the Prime Minister," he added, expressing hope that all risks to the prime minister's life would be cleared.
