Bulgaria’s Head of State Rumen Radev on 15th of March sent a letter of congratualtions to Angela Merkel who was elected to a fourth term as Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany.
"As a presiding member state of the Council of the European Union, Bulgaria relies and hopes for your active and actual support for the successful implementation of the goals and priorities we have set," the Bulgarian president said.
"I would like to express the wish of the Bulgarian people to deepen and strengthen the strategic relations between our countries, based on the deep historical relations and our close partnership within the EU and NATO," the letter of the Bulgarian Head of State to the Federal Chancellor of Germany Angela Merkel reads.
