"The European Parliament's resolution on the rule of law and fundamental rights in Bulgaria has debunked the government's propaganda rhetoric," Bulgaria’s President Rumen Radev said during his visit in the coastal city of Varna on October 9.
According to the head of state, the resolution points to the catastrophically low level of trust in the Bulgarian parliament.
According to Radev, this situation can be resolved with quick, fair elections, which will immediately form a new Parliament with the necessary confidence and such Parliament will elect a government that meets the European principles of transparency, accountability and responsibility.
This is the way the European democratic image of Bulgaria can be restored and the confidence of investors can be restored, the President added.
