Speaking at a joint press conference after the meeting, the Bulgarian President and his Austrian counterpart said they agreed that opportunities for dialogue with Russia and for common projects of mutual interest should be sought.
There is a shared desire to deepen the relations between Sofia and Vienna, and proof of this is the fact that for the last 7 months the two presidents met 3 times.
Turnover in trading exceeds EUR 1 billion and 200 million, and Austria is a leading foreign investor in Bulgaria, Rumen Radev said.
The two presidents also discussed the challenges for the EU from the migrant crisis. They underlined that the Western Balkans are also a top priority. They will work to revive the Danube Strategy.
