Prime Minister, Acad. Nikolai Denkov, convened an extraordinary meeting of the Security Council of the Council of Ministers in relation to the submission to the National Assembly of a draft law amending the Law on control of the implementation of restrictive measures in view of Russia's actions destabilising the situation in Ukraine.
The meeting will take place at 8:00 on Thursday, 16 November. The Speaker of the Parliament, Rosen Zhelyazkov, the Chairs of the Parliamentary Committees on Energy - Delyan Dobrev, on Foreign Policy - Boyko Borisov, on the European Union, Schengen Area and Eurozone - Kiril Petkov and on Economic Policy and Innovation - Hamid Hamid have also been invited to participate in the meeting.
The focus of the meeting will be the assessment of the consequences and risks for the national security of the Republic of Bulgaria in case of the adoption of the draft law, which provides for the revocation within three days of the derogation granted by the EU Council for the processing of Russian oil from the Bulgarian refinery.
Reports on the subject will be presented by the competent authorities - the State agencies "National Security" and "Intelligence", as well as the "Military Intelligence" Service.
