Record low temperatures for March 1 were measured this morning in the country. The coldest was in Stara Zagora (South Bulgaria) - minus 22 degrees per Celsius and in Knezha (Centtral North Bulgaria), where the temperature dropped to minus 21. In Kyustendil, Kazanlak and Chirpan – it was minus 19 degrees, in Sofia and Dragoman - minus 18.
Later in the day, the temperatures will not be as cold, but warming is expected in the coming days.
Code yellow weather alert for hazardously low temperatures was introduced for March 1 across the country.
