Crossing at Kulata-Promahonas border checkpoint will be hindered for nearly a month because of road reconstruction.
The rightmost road track at the exit from Bulgaria is closed on the Greek side for laying a new surface coating. Border police checkings are done at four check desks. Excavation works around the border bridge make traffic extremely difficult. Traffic signs and cones have been put on site to help temporary organization of traffic.
According to Greek police the reconstruction will end in a month. Bulgarian border police recommend that during this period travellers use other checkpoints for crossing the border with Greece where traffic flow is normal.
