A donation is expected to arrive from China to Bulgaria tonight with a NATO aircraft, Prime Minister Boyko Borissov said on April 16. The donation was agreed after talks between PM Borissov with the Premier of China, Li Keqiang and the President Xi Jinping.
"It will have top-of-the-line respirators and masks for the doctors. The plane will be piloted by two US women pilots. The American ambassador, the Chinese ambassador, and Bulgaria’s health minister, as well as the chief of the coronavirus task force, will be waiting for it, so that tomorrow the donation can be distributed and go to the hospitals," Boyko Borisov added.
The Prime Minister visited the plant of “Hygiene and Medical Industry” Ltd. in Veliko Turnovo. The company is the largest producer of disinfectants in Bulgaria and has 25 years of experience in this field. The hygiene materials produced by the 150 employees are mainly for professional use and especially for use in healthcare facilities.
